08 SuperDuty AC problem
For some reason the AC in my 08 super duty either goes to "High Fan with no compressor" or shuts off completely. None of the manual controls affect the system. The only way to reset the system is to pull off the road, turn off the key and restart. This has happened about 10 times since owning the truck, purchased March of 07.
I noticed some time back similar problems were mentioned in one of the forums. Does anyone know of a FORD fix for this? My dealer suggests bringing it in when this happens...lol

Earlier electronic A/C controls had problems, which resulted in the control unit being replaced.
My control unit works OK, but the dual zone feature doesn't function well and adds unnecessary complication to the system.

Thanks for the info. The dual zone works fine when the system is working normal. I do not see any TSBs or Recalls on this yet.
I do have shift on the fly and have checked for vacuum leaks, fuses, loose connections etc.
The dealership won't change the control unit unless they can make it fail. Needless to say, the thing won't fail for the service guy.
