302 ID

Hi All, I have a 302 for my F100 that I need help with the ID. The numbers on the block are EOAE
D3C with a sideways 12 under it. Would someone please tell me what they can about these numbers? I sure appreciate it.

I read that as a block that was cast in 1980 for a full size Ford.

Anyone know what D8VE-****-A3A means? this has been driving me batty.
I understand D8 means 78, but the VE? is that mercury? And the A3A maybe the model?
