a 95 f-250 xlt 2wd 5 spd toaday,188,000 miles,is it broke-in yet?
And what is OBS,i keep seeing it on here but i can only guess it means "old body style" is that correct?
I can't beleive i'm buying a diesel with fuel going thru the roof,i must be a dum azz---
If you need a workhorse then diesel is the way to go. Diesel engines are much more effecient in the MPG arena. My F250 460 got about 10-12 MPG where my F250 7.3L diesel gets about 17-18 MPG, and the truck is much heaver. You are correct on OBS.
ya, welcome!
The way i look at it is that if you have to have a truck (my ex: own horses, haul firewood for extra cash, need 4wd for mountains) then you might as well get a diesel. better fuel mileage, more fun, more room for improvements in the performance and MPG area.
I think it was RobbGT that was saying he could get as good as 20-21 mpg. thats with some modifications and a very light right foot though, im sure.
