I had just pulled my distributor out because I dont believe my vaccume advance isnt working. As I was cleaning the outside off I broke the plastic ring that I believe works as a seal. Any idea on where to get one of these? Also is it better just to replace the distributor than to replace the vaccume adavance? I dont have a timing light yet but i notice no differance driving with it hooked up or not. Now I cant seem to find a seal for this. Any thoughts or similar problems?? Thanks In advance.

Don't you think it might be a good idea to tell us what you're working on?
Plastic seal?
There's a gasket between the dizzy body and the engine, there's a round plastic adapter used to retain the dizzy cap on 1977 and later engines...that''s about it.
You don't need to buy another dizzy to get a new vacuum advance.
