What Do You Think?
I have a 1970 F100 Longbed...ive been thinking of how to paint it and thought about doing it like the roush f150s. As for colors i was thinking about a med silver w/ black stripes, and the black roush stripe down the side. I wanna run the exhaust out in front of the rear tire as well, i think those extreme cherry bombs would sound pretty good. I can get the Roush windshield sticker from jegs for $27, the hood scoop for $160, and both the vinyls for $300...i havent decided if i want to put the back wing on it or not. Id also lower it to where it is about 8-10 ins from the ground and put 18" wheels. Im building a console out of wood for the inside and im going to cover it in vinyl. Any comments would be appreciated

Sounds like a good plan to me! These old bumpsides are so well designed they lend themselves well to mods and nicely done two tone paint..... Only thing I don't like is the exhaust in front of the rear wheels, for me the noise gets a bit aggravating going down the road. I much prefer it going out the back.....

your right...i am a teenager. I wasnt really considering the wing, just thought it as an option since the Roush's had them. I still think im gonna run the exhaust out in front if the back tire though.

Thats the Ford thing to do around here, all the Chevys run the exhaust straight out the back

If you want loud exhaust noise, thats the place to put it. I originally had the duals behind the rear tire, and after moving both to the rear side by side, it was much smoother sounding, and I could hear the radio.

Im a teenager too and DONT PUT A WING ON IT ITS GAY!!! Alright buts thats just my oppinion. Exhaust personally i like going out the back if its loud enough to be heard when im driving. Or you could get electric cut outs where you can push button and have open headers or close it and have it go out the back or side.

i have my exhaust sticking out in front of the rear tires. for mufflers im using powersticks.
love the sound, especially when going across a small bridge, that way it bounces back towards me.
the little rice burners hate it, and those who like that stupid boom boom of their so called sound systems. they cant hear their own music (if you want to call it music) from the sound of my exhaust.
