I have a 1990 E-350 with a 7.3,one of the injectors is leaking where it screws into the intake.I don't know if it screws into the intake or just pushes in with an o-ring,over nite its losing prime and I can see it leaking from around the injector, very little but leaking.Would that cause it to lose prime in one nite.Any help would be appreciated,Thanks.
the injector isnt leaking , its the return line fitting one top of it
there are two oring on top of each injector that seal the plastic fitting to the injector body an air leak here allows the fuel to be siphoned back too the tank overhight
also the fuel hose could be leaking there
if they are old replace all of the orings and hoses
i would agree with that. just finished doing them on my 91. did the lines and put hose clamps on instead of spring clamps. they were leaking too. very cheap and easy to fix though
Hey guys appreciate the info, went and checked it out,I can see air bubbles coming out where the injector screws in.Should I take it out and put something on it then screw it back in.Thank again for all your help!
if you can then it is loose and compression gasses are leaking past it , first check the torque if its tight then remove it and see what is causing the leak before major damage occurs
