I hope you're getting the windshield with that truck. It looks like it would be hard to find one here in the states.

I dunno, but what concerns me is the wheel placement in the front fenderwell. Top pic shows the wheel forward and likely to rub the fender lip. The bottom pic shows it rearward.

You are right Havi, but it looks like it may have a right fender that just has a bigger wheel opening from a larger truck I'm thinking and cropped to fit the running board, if not it's going to be fun steering it.

Yep, the rear part of the front fender looks different between the two sides.

I do know one thing about it...... It's gonna look sweet when it's done.

Pick, pick, pick....I'd be concerned too if it was a completed project, but come on, Doubledoyle is gonna need something to do on it.

to clarify my concerns, is if he's selling it as a completed project only needing glass....which it could have been a bunch of spare parts pieced together and a quick dark spray job to cover the rust. If it's a do-over project with proper price tag, I'd say go for it. It certainly requires a closer inspection.

After you mentioned it I looked at the pictures quite a few time, it sure does look like it had two different sized fenders on it. Look at the area behind the wheels. the right side looks a lot smaller.

Not to get picky about the truck but if this truck is in the UK finding parts is going to be a lot harder than in the US and they're starting to get hard to find here. I think it's an important concideration for doubledoyle to think about the fenders and glass, if he needs to get it and it doesn't come with the truck, before plopping down his money on this thing. How much more is he willing to spend to make it right?

Thanks for the replys guys, im a glazier by trade and our company deals with boat builders etc who make curved glass so should be a problem there. As for the fenders i didn't notice until now, im picking the truck up today and will have a closer look, i,m pretty hopeful its just a trick of the eye. These pictures where taken when the seller bought it from the states, it could of been unfinished then, but thanks anyway ill be sure to have a closer look, A friend of mine has looked over the truck too. he owns a 51 and said the front clip has been fitted pretty well.

Oh just another question, in the pictures 1 fender looks like its smaller as it meets the running boards. Would this wing be off another model? or year?

any ideas?

Doubledoyle-

Reread post #6. It appears the passenger fender is off one of the larger trucks with the bigger tires, thus a larger wheel opening.

Here's a comparison between a F-100 and a F-600 fenders:
