sucess on broken plug!!

hey guys last week i posted that my spark plug broke at the sheild in my 04 150 5.4l. well no truck for a week sat at the shop for the last 3 days mechanic said the only way to get it out is pull the head!!! im pissed this was this morning i told ford if anybody is gonna pull the head its gonna be me by the way ford qouted me 3500 to pull the head. so i get a tow truck pull it to my garage and started at it again im willing to try anything to get the sheild and porcilin out my buddy say try a easy out with a bit of grese on it so i did 15 min and that sob came out a little bit of vacuming and 650 dollers later i got my truck back. i called the mechanic told him what i did and he was imbarresed a jurneyman mechanic and could not get it out i got my 525 dollers back from him for what he charged me for trying so i guess trying and trying does help thanks to everyone who has helped in this horrible situation

congrats on that. i'm debating when to do mine, at 40,000 miles now. that scares the hell out of me.

i have not slept in days or eat im sure i got a massive ulser as well i do have to say it was well worth the struggle saved me a pile of money!!

i might try it soon, it's just that i live in a very small town and the only ford dealership is 285 miles away. i don't trust/like the local garages around here.

i agree just be carefull when u do tackle it i struggeled for a very long week im so glad its over hopefully yours will come right out with no trouble i feel for everyone who has or is gonna go through the broken plug issue

i know for sure that the stock 2 piece plugs are not going back in again. 1 piece brisk or champion. what did you put back in?

i had to go with the same plug the one peice is not availible as of yet i live in canada and everyshop told me the same thing the only reason i did the plugs was because i had a dead plug at 90,000 km so no sense on just changing one mabey i should have just done the one plug!! mabey when the other one piece plug is avalible i will mabey consider putting them in not sure though im still very upset about it and just might go get a brand new one not sure!! do the 08 f150 have the same problem or not!
