I ONLY HAVE ONE USERNAME,Ok mil1ion,prove it,whats my other so called username?
Go and try and find another user in Riverside California and that owns a Red&White 76 SCS!
Note:I have ONLY posted threads under 76SCS.
We could have used that figure on some threads months ago about the rarity of the '79 F-350 4x4. A figure of 850 units has been thrown about before (but was not believable); the 13,372 units from the FoMoCo production figures you provided does seem reasonable. And I agree, with the typical survival rate, there are probably not many left.
I think u might be thinking of a past thread that discussed SC 4wd 350's on --not just 350's-- That being said It's cpmpletly believable Yet STILL not verified that only 850 79 4wd 350 SC's were made.I agree 4wd 350's totaled 13,372
This IS it...the ENTIRE reference. There isn't any more. What U C is what U get.
Sorry to have to repeat all this, but here's the exact same reference I'm using on FTE.
Note the 8th line from the end where it gives the 18.4% F350 4WD figure.
Note the 11th line from the end where it gives the total 1979 F350 production figures: 72,674.
These are FoMoCo records and were researched by John Gunnell, a long time...well known & respected auto historian, who has written dozens of automotive books.
This one:
THE STANDARD CATALOG OF LIGHT DUTY FORD TRUCKS - 1905-2002
BY JOHN GUNNELL
KRAUSE.COM / ISBN: 0-87349-411-3.
I've cited this book so many times on FTE, I've memorized ISBN number.
76sper: This is the reference you wanted me to scan and send to you.
Dennis musta read my mind (a short read).
Thank you, Dennis for posting the info.
There only ONE problem...the person to whom all this information is directed to, will forget (on purpose or otherwise) all this, and...
...will ask the same FRIGGEN questions all over again within 24 hours....in another thread.
