Super Cab Super Camper Special? R U sure it's a Super?

Super Camper Specials (and Trailer Specials) were all Regular Cabs and built on the 140" wheelbase, which was unique to those two models only.

No Super Cab ever used that wheelbase.

IMO, if it sez Super Camper Special, someone added the badges.

Ask Mil1ion for his opinion.

RCrawler 04-19-2008 06:09 PM

A Supercab Camper Special was made, but not a Supercab Super Camper Special.

And yes 76 SCS, as you were told in an earlier thread, that is a really rare truck.

76 SCS I know I keep trying to defend you and just did again with NumberDummy

Defend? :-huh

Excuse me? :-X15

I made a mistake about the super part, I wasn't trying to be snide, or nasty.

I just decoded the VIN for him in a P/M he sent me, and spent 10 minutes looking at the FoMoCo rarity tables for these models.

If I had him on my chit list, I wouldn't have answered the post and would have deleted the P/M without reading it.

According to FoMoCo production figures, 72,674 F350's were produced in 1979, and of those 18.4% were 4WD.

So, it wasn't uncommon when new, but considering the survival rate today, it's rare today.

I spend a lot of time helping ppl on FTE, for free.

Try getting part numbers from a dealer today. Good Luck.

How many ppl share their knowledge of AutoHistory on FTE, drawing from a 2,000 book library.

How many ppl do you know that spend time searching for obsolete parts on the internet for FTE members, for NOTHING?

If you think I was insulting the OP, you're wrong.

Whoa, Bill. I don't think he is talking about or to you. I think UTFtball is talking about Super Camper Speacial and his redundant posts like this one.

Jason

How is this post redundant?

Because you repeated the same question.

76f350spercamprspeal 04-19-2008 07:03 PM

When did I repeat a question?

UTfball68 said he was defending 76spercamprspeal from me.

How would you take that if he said RCrawler instead of NumberDummy?

Doesn't matter anyway...it's just water over the dam.

When you've waited on mechanics at Ford shop counters for over 35 years, your hide gets thick very quickly.
