Using an 08 rear diff cover on previous years

Just an FYI...when changing to 08 rear diff cover you'll need new bolts.

12 total 5/16-18 x 1.25".

I got mine from Mike @ directfordparts.com for $41.76.

monsta...you paid $42 for 12 bolts? Even in HI that's way to much. PM me and I'll beat that price for sure...even at HD or LOWES...and we know they are ripping us off!

That is a pretty good deal for $41. I have been looking at the maghitech but I am scared away at the price.

I do like my Mag-hitech, but I completely understand on the price. I'd like to find an attractive one like the 08 for my front.

I probably would have gone to ACE or Lowes and picked up some SS allen cap bolts. Black oxide rust rather quickly and chrome doesn't hold up for me.

The deal from diesel manor is a VERY good one. I bought mine from Mike as I ordered a few dealer-only items for my truck (weather strip and trim stuff) at the same time.

Why all the fuss over the '08 cover? My '07 D80 has an aluminum finned cover on it...

Or did the Sterling's not get them until '08?

Main advantage was for cooling your diff oil. Aesthetics too.
