I just serviced the Trans on 2006 4x4 lariat. During trying to locate the converter drain, the motor kicked 1 tim (short). After service I have no power brakes. Any sugestions on what/where to look for the problem?
When you say no powerbrakes, does that mean no power assistance? or does that mean that the brakes don't work... period?
If its the former, it will be the vacuum assist... try and find the line from the intake manifold to the brake master cylinder (I don't know where it is exactly on an 06 F150), and it would either be disconnected, or leaky. I would suggest the former, as you must have knocked it/pulled it off when working on the tranny
If you have no brakes at all... either you are out of fluid or its leaking somewhere. You will need to get a buddy and try and bleed them.
It's no power assist. I can't find the where the line conects. Could it have been blown off when the engine kicked? Is this the same vacuum that goes tho the modulator on the trans?
