302 with no Casting #'s

Here is one to test all of your brains, I have a 302 block in my garage that has no casting numbers on it at all. The actual spot on the side of the block where the numbers should be located doesn't even exist.

Any Ideas??

Pull the intake manifold off. In the lifter valley it will have a set of casting #'s and the exact cub's of the engine. Hope this helps.

Nope nada there

i know its a 302, just wondering why the casting number plate doesn't even exist on the block.
