Can anyone help me with this? I can't figure out what has been added or what is wrong with the location on the transfer case where the speedo cable attaches. Here's the picture of the cable (it's the right one, i've checked with the parts store 3 times)
And here's what it won't fit into on the transfer case!
I don't know if the threaded male part sticking out of the transfer case is an adapter, cause when i got the truck they had a speedo cable that threaded onto this piece, but the cable wasn't the right one to attach to the speedo. I need help. I can't figure this one out.
My truck was originally equipped with a manual tranny, but now I'm converting to C6. I have a speedo cable for the C6 and the hole for one in my transfercase. Is one spot better or worse. Also, what is commonly used to plug the one not being used. Maybe just an old speed cable and cut the end to plug the hole???
