First thing i did when is signed up, (as im a new guy to the site), was search a few things. One thing that i couldnt find what i was looking for, was wiring harnesses. Is there anyone who has used the Universal Wiring harness from LMC? Or, if you rewired your truck, what did you use? I pulled all the wires from my donor truck, and found that although in much better shape than mine, they were cracked, corroded, and had been gnawed on by a pack rat in a couple places. I dont want to spend $500 on wiring, yet i dont want electrical problems either.
On a different note, those of you that had base models like me, how did you go about adding A/C?
Thanks, ive ordered from LMC in the past, yes, thier customer service sucks, and it took me almost 6 months to get my carpet.
Im sorry, i will add my 'toys' to my sig. The truck in question is a '77 F-150 Ranger stepside. Impending re-wire (main holdup), and incoming ZF-5+
400+ horse 460 which is now sitting at 471 cid (soon to be 521 i hope)
There are few others but they are more expensive and offer less
WOW.... now that i checked out that site. THANK YOU!! Ive been wondering why someone never made wiring harnesses simple like that. Apparently they do, just i couldnt find one.
Hehe, sorry bout that, i got in a habit of calling the older ones stepsides, as when you mention Flareside ppl assume it is of the 92-97 body style Flareside would be more accurate anyway as i no longer have steps on it anyway.
