04 xploder reverse????
When you go to back up say out of a parking spot and you turn one direction or the other it doesnt matter, it feels like thing is in the low side 4wd kinda like. The local dealership is telling me that its the all wheel drive stuff kicking in when it senses the other front tire slippin. It sure feels and sounds terrible ecspecially if your wife has a car of load women going to lunch once week, kinda hard to talk someone into buyin a Ford with products doing things like this.

Ya thats what everybody ive talked to has said. But dang you cant get a good impresion (sp) on somebody that doesnt drive Fords with this kinda crap. I mean its alright cause it doesnt do it drive, just reverse.

We have an 04' Explorer,,after about 8 to 10 k miles,,it started acting up like you are talking about,,I looked in the manual,,in fuse section,,,In the fuse box under the hood,,,I think it was fuse # 19,,was like "auto 4x4 clutch" I popped out that fuse,,started the EX,,4x4 dash light s came on/off 2 times,,,thing ran great,,no slipping/jerking/chattering,,ran it for a week,,GF drives it,,said it never made a noise or any wired shifts,,but no 4x4,,,,was going to snow,,put fuse back in,,,had 4x4 back,,and same odd symptoms too,,spring is here,,time to pull it again,,,I think I will today !
