I don't think it's as simple as just swapping rods. Unless things have changed a whole bunch since I used to build my own racing engines the entire assembly will need to be balanced also.

Have you looked in the inspection hole to be sure what you have. I have a 01' and have forged rods. What is your build date?

Pretty sure I did but Can't remember the date. I'm in the sand box at the moment so can't see it. I looked at it a couple years ago and was dissapointed. It was close so maybe I should pull the plug and take a closer look for sure.

It took me bumping the starter 5 times to get it right so I could see the nut. I used a magnifing mirror to look in the hole. I know a regular mirror would make it hard to see in the hole, I tried with one.
