I got a 1995 F350 4x4, what have you guys with 3.55 gearing do that wanted to fit 35 inch tires? I want to get 4.10 gearing and a few add a leafs to be able to fit some 35's on this monster. I dont know how much its gunna cost to get new gears installed and add leaves
If your'e going to change gearing go to something like 4.56 , 4.10 is not enough. You can get gears from someplace like bronco graveyard and then have someone install. Should be able to do it for around 400.00, makes a big difference.
try this calculator, use the one on the left side, E4OD for tranny, BW 1356 for transfer case, 4.56 for gear ratio, and 35" tires, at 25oo rpm you'd be doing 80mph.
i think 4.10 will be fine.. he does allot of highway driving.. so 4.10 will be best.. i have 4.10 and im upgrading to 35"s soon and i wont change the gears
at 80 you will be hitting 2445 RPM so its no big difference between the 4.56's
4:10's should be fine. I had 3:55's and was running 36" tires and could still squeel them off the line. Now I'm running 4:56 gears but that's because I want to run a bigger tire. I wish I had 4:10's instead for highway and you can always use 4Lo when you need it offroad. What engine do you have? That will also determine how doggy/not it is while driving.
if you were closer to N.J., i would gladly swap the 4.10 rears i have in my 88 for your 3.55's.
i have 36's on the 88, and am always looking for another gear.
