I need some help with some headlight issues
I have a '99 Explorer Sport and when I turn it on the daytime running lights come on but they flicker on/off constantly. The same thing happens when I turn on my highbeams. I have been told that there is a module or something that I can replace that will fix the problem but I don't know where it's located or what it's called. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

i don't know about the module. you need to check the power and ground at the headlight bulb to see which one is the problem. then you can work your way back. i can get you wiring diagrams to help. if you want them just give me your email and i will send them to you.

I had it happen with mine, plus the instrument cluster would flicker. Mine ended up being a sensor/switch in the rearview mirror. You can adjust how long the lights will stay on when the engine is off. As long as the switch was off, it worked good, but if I had it on for any amount of time, it threw everything into chaos. Replaced it and all was good. Don't know if your's will be the same, but you might try it anyway to see if the on/off makes any difference...
