Hey guys, I’ve got a set of heads for free, and I want to know what exactly they are.
From what I can tell there 1969 302 heads, but don’t know anything about them like valve sizes, or what they came off. Combustion CC's
I want all the specs you can give me; I also want to know if I can put them on my 1992 F150 302.
The only code I saw was DOOE; I am posting some pics to give you a better idea.
Are there any more markings that can help you decipher what they are? thanks.
The DOOE says they are a 1970 design casting. The 302 with the 69 under it says they are 302 heads cast in 1969. Must have been cast late in the year for them to be a 1970 casting.
Chambers are 60cc as cast, valves are 1.78" intake and 1.48" exhaust. With a little work (porting and larger valves) they'll make a real good set of heads for a truck.
the only thing i would check is the compatability of the heads with your EGR system, if you care. some newwer heads have a port in the rear side of the head to duct exhaust gas back to the carb/manifold. if your old heads have it, you'll be hard pressed to get that system working again... if ever. so if your state is picky about that, i'd be warry. good luck
