insulation heat shield???

ok, stupid question, havin dispute,... the insulation on the floor with the heat shield stuff on it, does the heat sheild go on bottom or top??? wanna know before i put it in wrong.

On race cars the heat shield points to the bottom. That is where the heat is coming from.
