I have a 01 F350 crew cab V10 4x4 and was wondering what axle I have......The code on the door jamb says F3. I looked in the one section here and I can't find what F3 is. Could someone help me out?

 

go up top to articles. then look for the drivers side sticker decoder in there it'll tell you what f3 stands for

I personally would be willing to bet you have a 4.3 limited slip axle.

be cause all the other letters have a letter then a 3 so F was prolly just left out

There is also a tag on the passanger side of your diff that will tell you. It will prolly say "4 L 30" some where on it

 

Yep, f3 should be 4.30 limited slip dana 80 IIRC.
