No Heat - Help

I have a 1999 F150, 4.6, 4x4, supercab. Last night whil driving I went to turn on my heat and cool air came out (No the A/C was not on). I adjusted things, moved from def to panel to floor, no changes. I changed from heat to cool to heat, nothing either. I also removed the temp dial to make sure it was actually adjusting and it was. I do not have and coolant leak as a Heater Core would produce, atleast like in my old Chevy's where it would leak coolant onto the floor of the passenger side. There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary, just no heat. Anyone have an idea on what to check???

That, according to a couple web sites is 5-6 hours of work. Is there any way to verify sure this is a junk part before I replace all of this???

A new twist, last night on my way home the truck heat worked as always. This morning however, cold air blew out when on heat???? What's going on?

Try changing the thermastat. Cheep place to start.
It may be sticking open.

It keeps sounding more and more like a broken blend door. These threads have some good information. The last link is details on how to replace the heater core and it takes about as much work to get to the blend door as it does to get to the heater core. Good luck!
