2000 Expy EB original radio. I have this echo problem. The echo(sounds like your in a big empty room) is on AM/FM and on the CD. I checked the owners manual and found nothing about settings. The problem just appeared instantly. Any ideas? Thanks
If your system is DSP (digital signal processing) equiped this is probably your problem. DSP is a sound processor that simulates listening enviroments such as a concert hall etc. which would explaine your echo. Here's the section from page 34 of your owners manual covering this subject. See if this helps.
Digital signal processing (if equipped)
The digital signal processing (DSP)
feature allows you to change the
signal mode to suit your listening
tastes.
These effects will change the sound quality and may need to be adjusted
based upon the program material to suit your listening needs.
Press the control to turn the feature on or off.
