Brakes

My drivers side front calip stuck and went metal to metal on me i have like no money and need to drive it from las vegas to yosemite and back this weekend. I have enough for rotors and pad but not calipers so i'm going to see if I'll be able to push the pistons in tomarow if so I'll put rotors and pads on for now then do the calipers in a couple weeks.

any ways on to my question what size are the axle lock nuts? or does it us thouse 4 prong deals? Its a 94 350 cc 4x4 with a dana 60 front end.

It's one of those 4 prong special sockets. OTC #7158. If you're low on funds, you may be able to borrow from Autozone or Shucks.

Most likely the slides/pins are dirty or stuck ........ If the caliper piston does not return that could be a hose problem sent you an email.

Yeah I need to check that didn't think of the hose. Its most likely not the slide pin because the pad on the piston side is the worn out one if it were the slide pin the pistons would still retract away from the caliper in most cases.

Thanks for the info you guys are F'N awsome I better go check the hose bfor i forget. I'm not as bad on funds as i thought brought home my inspection mirror and have enough left in my pass side pads for a while so I'll just do the drivers side for now I now I'm as bad as thouse drivers I deal with all day and when i do the passanger side I sould have enough to do the ball joints over there too.
