finally found one
. this last week i stumbled across the perfect (drivable) project for me.1966 f100 swb
199? HO302 long block
ford motorsports intake w/holly carb
chinsy exhaust (that doesn't even match side to side)
c-6? auto
1961? grill (might need to go back to a 65 grill)
some tourch lowered coil springs

and a decent interior
i think that is about it.
plans are
replace the front springs
power brakes w/disc's in front
possibly some sort of adjustable helper for the rear (to tow the toy)
and throw the mustang fuel injection back on
now how do i post pics?

I have to ask, does your truck have a straight front axle or twins? The inner fenders are 65/66, the dash trim is pre 65, the tailgate is 67-72, and back up lights same.
That truck has been modded pretty heavily, and the stance is too good, just for clipped springs on I-beams. IMHO

Not all 1965 2WD Custom Cabs have sweep speedometers, it was a running change.
Mike's dash has the optional oil/amp gauges.
The brake pedal and pad are 1965/66 F100/250 2WD only. The other years/models used a different pedal, the pedal pad is almost square and has raised round dots on it. The parts will not exchange.
The hanging gas pedal is correct for 1966 F100/250 2WD's, the late 1965 F100/250's use the same one.
The pad is from a 1968/72 F100/350 or a 1968/69 Ford Fairlane/Torino.
1967/72 F100/350 Styleside taillamps and buckets won't fit 1964/66's correctly.
These taillamps are 1967/77 Bronco.
1966 Bronco's used the same taillights/buckets as 1964/66 F100/250's Stylesides did.
In 1967, backup lights were required for all car and light trucks.
So, 1967/77 Bronco taillamps/buckets are essentially the same as 1964/66's except they have provisions for back up lights.
The same taillamp chrome trim was used on 1964/66 F100/250 Custom Cab Stylesides & 1966/77 Bronco's: C4TZ-13489-E right / C4TZ-13489-F left
1967/72 F100/350 chrome trim won't work on 1964/66's & Bronco's, because it has extensions that go with the upper/lower tailgate trim on 1967/72 Custom Cabs.

Mike: Welcome to FTE / There was a long time Ford dealer in Santa Ana called: Dutton Ford. You might find a set of original license plate frames if you hit the car swap meets or look on ebay.
Even tho the emblems have been shaved off, and the windshield doesn't have the Custom Cabs reveal mouldings, this may have been a Custom Cab originally.
Look on the Warranty Plate, left door face below the latch for the three digit BODY CODE.
If it begins with a letter, it was a Custom Cab, if it begins with a number, it wasn't.
I see the next owner of your truck is already trying to drive it!

I have to tell my fellow retiree's here at work to tone it down or let it go man. You're no longer the HMFIC and the CEO will not look lightly on hearing his employees yelling "kill" down the stairs at one another. It brings thoughts of "postal" and "hostile work environment" if you know what I mean...
