Question Interior Lights

my inteior ligths dont work but when i squeeze the relay(with the relay cover off )the lights work. Could it be the power saver relay?The door ajar light on the insturment panel works,and goes off when the doors close.

What year and model truck? Sounds like a newer one.

Sounds like you need a new relay. Replace it and see what happens.

I figure he is forcing the relay closed by squeezing it. I will have to look in my diagrams to see which one it is, but it might be a blown fuse.

I can squeeze the relay for the dome light and the map lights and they work but thats the only way they work.

Have you checked the fuses? I forgot to look it up.

The GEM module is what activates the interior light relay. Look under the dash at the fuse box and the GEM module, and see if you have any signs of water leakage. Sometimes the windshields leak on these models, and the water runs down and damages the GEM module.

Thanks for the help ya'll.Fixed the problem it was the 2 small relays in the interior fuse block.
