Gear OIL

How yall doing tonight?

'88 F-250 4x4 302 Manual Tranny.

I would like to know what is the gear oil Used on my gear box 4 speed plus over drive. and I would also like to know what am I suppose to use on the differential going to be doing a fluid change on Wed.

From what I`ve read on this forum most manual transmissions (gearbox) use automatic transmission fluid, like Dexron2. As for the diff. (front and rear) you will need EP80W90 or similar. If you have limited slip diff. you will need the lube with the additive for the LSD. This will bump your post and someone else may confirm the gearbox lube.

Yeah I read that on the blog but I find it almost hard to believe it ATF in a Manual Tranny? I actually read that on the owners manual
