I have a vibration noise in the front sounds the same as when i'm in 4wd. the 4wd is disengaging at the transfer case and also at the soleniod on the front axle. Well at least its moving. Is it possible something might have broke inside or could it be something else?
no it wasnt the fluid. My mechanic says it sounds like a wheel bearing. but It doesnt get any louder or quieter when cornering. How long does a wheel bearing last before it falls off. I've a long trip ahead and I wont be able to get it to a garage until next week.

That is a gamble I wouldn't take. How long is the trip?
may I ask how you came to the conclusion this vibration is definitely in the front? and if it is surely in the front, have you checked the rims for a build-up of mud or something?
it is more of a groaning noise that sounds loudest between 20 and 30 mph. I took about a 120 mile trip and back and it didnt change at all and i didnt notice any wheel weights missing but that is an easy quick fix that i will check on tommorrow. How expensive or hard is changing the wheel bearing? I've never done one and I try to fix as much as possible if I'm able. Do I need a puller?
