Need Help Quick
Hi All,
I am in the process of changing the fluid and filter in my '95 F150 5.0 with the 4R70W trans.
When the Pan came down this part was in the pan. Where did it come from and can I get it back in. Thanks

That part was part of a nationwide contest. One transmission had that part in the pan. If it was sent in to Ford by April 1, 2008, it was worth $1 million. You should have changed the oil sooner!
Either that or it's the shipping plug for the dipstick hole in the trans. When the dipstick is installed at the truck assembly plant the plug is pushed into the pan. It sits there until the first time the pan is pulled, then it shows up in a forum somewhere.
