Do you have the delay style wipers or just the Hi-Lo-Off like mine? If they are the delay style, there is a circut box that is most likely causing the problem. You can find out about it by doing a search for "Wiper Delay".
If they are the Hi-Lo, then it sounds like you have a short with a hot wire hitting the wiper circut since they should not run with the key off, only in run or acc. If this is the case, you will need to back probe the circut with a test light to find where the power is coming from. Mabye someone installed fog lights or a radio wrong? You may want to pull fuses one at a time to see if they kill the extra power to the wipers. This may point you in the right direction. Good luck.
Thanks for the info.I have just the two speed wipers.I'll start checking for a short or something. My radio also stays on with the key off.I'll check it out this week when I put in my new radio.Shorts really are a pain to find sometimes.
Thanks

I'm not sure about the wipers, but the radio thing sounds like your ignition switch has slid a little on the column. Loosen the two nuts, turn the key to off and slide it until the radio goes off. Slide it a little farther until it comes on, then do the same in the other direction, split the difference and tighten the nuts.
