I am going to take out my transfercase out of my 74 f100. married t/c I was wondering if anyone has any photos of this removal or a web adress that shows this I have a manual and it doesn't show any photos. I took a quick look under there it didn't look to difficult but I would love to see illistrations, it just makes putting a gameplan together alot easier thnx
im doing a 203 to 205 swap and havent gotten my 203 out yet it is my daily driver. it is not too hard to do they are just heavy lile 300+ lbs so be careful.
I have not done a 203 but have removed my married 205 from my 78 Bronco and like fdude said it is not hard but heavy, and awkward so get transmission jack or a floor jack under it
it is pretty straight forward and should be easy to see what you need to do
it bolts to a coupler to the back of the trans
your drive shafts
a transfer mount to the frame
and unbolt you shifter? I think?
I don't remember all that was involved but it was not hard and I did i by myself, as I do everything when it comes to my truck
i took the 205 out of my donor and it was pretty easy i just let it drop to the ground once i got it loose from the spacer. it damaged the vent cap though. wonder how hard this is to replace?
