+1 for Tony Wildman...AWESOME chip...Just got mine back last week with three new burns at no cost...Really a great guy to deal with too...www.TOTALDIESELPERFORMANCE.com
How can you say nothing compares when you dont have one yet and have never used anyone elses tuning?
That's what I was wondering too! He musta read it in the internet.
I'm now on my 6th and by far the best chip. I started with a Bullydog and Superchip single page chip before there were flip chips and then moved up to a TS 4 pos and eventually has it reburned with Tony's programs. I heard a lot about Jody'sstuff so I got one of his and used it for a while. Last year I sold the DP tuner and got another of Tony's chips. This is the one that will stay in the truck.
From what it seems both DP and Tony Wildman do a great job tuning 7.3s. Seems like preference is geographical. If you are close enough to get live tuning it would make the decision between the two easier.

Right you are.....

I had a Predator for a little while, it was ok, then I had a Sniper Tuner; but I quickly sold the predator and got an SCT. The SCT was the best by far, but from what I've been reading, DP-Tuner is the way to go; it's also custom tuning vs. universal tuning for any truck. Every 7.3 owner that has his chip sings his praises. I don't see anybody but Jody and Tony getting praise for the awesome work they do with the 7.3. So yes, I have used someone elses tuning, it just didn't cut it for me. With one of either Jody or Tony's chips, I'm fairly confident that I won't be disappointed. However, I'm leaning more towards Jody.
I have no preference as to whether I should get an Edge, bully dog,Banks 6-gun or what, just whatever works best.
What works best isn't any of those you listed.
Tony Wildman or Jody Tipton of DP-Tuner are the best for the 7.3L PSD's.
A couple years ago, I did a bunch of research, pulling up posts and threads in the 7.3L forum to glean who was considered and regarded as the "best" tuner for these beasts. In my opinion, it was an overwhelming majority that used and swore by Jody's tunes.
That majority increased even more when Jody created the F5 chip to replace the commonly problematic chip that had been the standard up to that point.
Unless he has changed his policy, its been my experience that Jody will reburn a chip free of charge, if a mod is added requiring a reburn.
I chose Jody and his F5 chip and didn't look back. Well, actually, I do look back...to see the vehicles I'm laying the smackdown on!
I filled out tony's information sheet and sent it in on-line last sat and either he didn't get it or just hasn't gotten around toreturn the info as yet.. I'm kinda leaning towards Jody with the controller/gauge as I don't want to have to put in the extra gauges and it looks easier to use.At least that's what I think that thing is..Correct me if I'm wrong..

Where did you get "tony's information sheet" because it doesn't existed on his website. The only way to send info to Tony is by placing an order for a chip or email him.
You do not have to put in the extra gauges with a chip from Tony either but they are recommended for ANY brand of chip or tuner.
