I stopped going to pep boys when I found out they were not taking care of employees returning from guard duty deployment. I wont even walk into a pep boys!

 

I see where you are coming from but in this case maybe you can "burn" them a new one w/ the 2 for $7 as they can't be making money at that price. Hope so anyway. Just avoid em' until the next sale comes along...

Look for the oil filter coupon. The filters are on sale, 2 filters for 7 dollars.

Yes it sounds to good to be true, but the standard Purolator filter is the same exact Racor filter you buy at a Ford dealership or whatever....so basically you can buy 2 for half as much as one.

Has anyone tried it yet...I don't think the CH9549 is an "EXTRA GUARD" filter and doubt if Pep will accept coupon for a CH9549.

 

Your right...it's not. You can try it but I wouldn't argue if they deny it. It clearly states "extra guard" filters.

I tried today and got shot down at the register , they don't say Extra Guard on the box.

I won't need new filters till 2020 at this rate....

 

I'll give it a shot sometime this week and see how it goes, but last time they shot me down on the whole "Extra Guard" thing when I lived in Las Vegas. So I'll see how it goes here in SoCal.
I don't really need them anyways because I have over 20 filters in my garage and with fuel prices hovering over $4/gal I'm not driving that much anymore anyways.
