over heating
i took my 28 ft fifth wheel out today to air up the tires and i went about 15 miles at 60mph with the od off i was turning about 2500 rpm and the temp started to up i stopped when it got a little over 3/4 of the way to the h on the gauge and left it cool down my rat is full of coolant and i never had any trouble befor running around town not towing now it never takes long to warm up and ive read on her that people say theirs take for ever to get up to temp if i let it run for 20 to 30 min it will roast u out im wondering if maybe my water pump isnt working good or the t stat any ideas im planning to do alot of camping and id dont want to get half way there and over heat it again

If the overheat light did not come on it was fine......... was the fan clutch engaged and fan making a loud roaring noise....... Sent you a message.
Diesel engine coolant temperature at the top of the radiator where hose attaches after high rpm or under load condition for 20 minutes should be (195-237*F) 91-114*C nice time to have a temperature reading point and shoot tool.
