Why do I hear the valves singing?
Hello everybody. I need some help with figuring out why my 1990 Ranger with 68K original miles has valve noise under load. I just changed the timing belt on this car and set the timing to TDC on cyl 1. Any ideas?

If this is a new sound, you messed something up. The timing should be set to 10BTDC for all I am familiar with. TDC is retarded from normal. SPOUT connector disconnected. You could get a whine from the belt being too tight or rubbing against the head or block or other parts...
