65 cab on 64 frame

Got 4 questions that I know someone can help me with. Tried a search and did not find all the answers

Will a 65 cab fit on a 64 frame and other way around. Is it just a bolt up?
Will 65 door fit on 64 cab?
Is 64 styleside bed the same as a 65 and if i put it behind a 65 cab will you be able to tell a difference in width or anything?

I have heard there is short and wide and different sizes, but the only difference I can see is the roofs.

Thanks in advance

People smarter than I will hopefully chime in, but the 64 and 65 cabs are different in how they mount as the frames are different, from what I've read before.

A 61 to 63 low roof or 64 high roof F100 F250 F350 cab will not bolt on to a 65 F100 F250 frame and a 65 cab will not bolt on to a 64 F100 F250 frame in a 2 wheel drive configuration.

The 64 cab will bolt on in a 4x4 configuration, for 65 and only on the F250 for 66. Cabs on F350 all will interchange 61 to 66 as the early cab was used in 65 66.

There are major differences in front cab mounts and firewall connection for the front aprons and fenders.

The doors will interchange for a body 81 from 61 to 66, Body 66 doors will fit but have the wrong body line.

Hoods will interchange all years.

The roof for 64 is the same stamping as a 65

The 64 bed is the same from 64 to 66 in styleside, and flairside

The wheel base was changed from 114" on short beds to 115" with the introduction of the twin I.

Long beds remained the same.

I thought I recall reading somewhere that the bed mounting between 65 and 65/6 is different due to the different frames....

61-6 F350 cabs are same as 61-4 across the board and 65-6 4wd...so long as they have the lower step like the 61-4...the door step is the easiest way to ID the different cabs...as well as the cab mount differences between 61-4 and 65/6

Long beds have some discrepency, You need to drill i think 2 new intermediate holes, Most just leve them out.

Short beds are bolt on... Should have clarified.
