[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-May-02 AT 08:27 AM (EST)]Re: black plugs on all but #3 which was white
pcmenten mentioned that maybe my manifold was leaking by cylinder #3
and asked if we checked the manifold pressure. What should the manifold pressure be. If I'm not mistaken it should be a negative pressure or vacuum around 18 inches,no?
Please need help. This is my service truck and it's been down for
almost 2 weeks, no-one can fix it. has no power. everything on the motor is new exept for power. we checked resistances on all wires between duraspark, distributor, and coil. All were at 3 to 4 ohms exept the purple which was at 27. We jumped it past the harness, but to no avail. Another question is what does that ballast resistor serve for, where is it located, and how do we check it???
Yeah but you have a good chance of blowing up. One good back fire and that is she wrote. Of course starting fluid isn't exactly safe either but you stop spray once your finger lets off.
