How much did you pay for your truck?

Paid $2,300 for my '76 Highboy with a 429. I seen it for sale while I was in the Denver area a few years back and the shop that it was parked at was closed for the weekend so I couldn't get much info. about it or drive it, I only knew that I wanted it. I finally was able to speek to someone about it a few days later when I was back in Minnesota and I sent a certified check to him to hold it and told him I would be back to get it in a couple days. My buddy and I hooked the trailer to his 3/4 ton Chev and went on a drive. Pulling it back he made the comment that he wishes that he would have opted for the 454 instead of the 350 in his truck cause the '76 was giving the 350 a wokout.
I am still trying to get my girlfriend to appreciate old iron like it and it helps out when people comment on it when she is around.

She'll start to appreciate it I'm sure. My wife wasn't to fond of me restoring my 77 highboy, but she is coming around. She's starting to like the look of the old thing and seeing it come back to life. Good thing too, cuz she don't get to mad when I'm always buying parts and working on it. LOL. Sounds like a nice deal on your truck. You probably should have hooked the trailer and Chevy to your Ford.

Way back in 1986 I paid $1200.00 for my F150 4WD. It had 79,000 miles on it at the time. The seller was asking $1500.00.
I still have the truck, it has around 194,000 miles on it currently. Hard to say how much I've spent on it over the years, but it hasn't been an expensive vehicle to own. Other than fuel costs that is!!!
