No, Kevin's not in our group. We don't have anyone quite that dumb in there...
Although, I sorta feel for the little idiot. To do something like that and then get it plastered all over the 'net...gotta be embarassing!
I notice they are selling SUVs that are not 4wd now - just big boxy station wagons. I wonder how many people buy them assuming they will go off-road?
I have powerpoint clip that was sent to me that shows some kids with a Jeep wagon like mine - they were going to climb this steep rock, had a guy leading them, a camera man rolling film, and a couple of bystanders watching while just one kid in the jeep doing the driving. They eased up to the rock, carefully moved on to it and then goosed the jeep -
The jeep powered up the rock, continued to climb as the front wheels lifted, and then turned over backwards - landing on its top. Never exceeded 10 mph. Guess they don't teach physics or the law of gravity in school now days!
How would you have liked to raise that kid? I would have divorced his mother - she had to have been cheating on me as I couldn't have fathered someone so dumb!
I will send anyone the clip who wants to see it - just email me your email address - Clint@old-fords.com
As I remember - it was a Blazer (not worth fixing). The guys wife was driving, and, even though he had redone the brakes, a hose broke. It was an automatic and she was coming down in high range, and against the brakes.
I would have been in low range with the tranny locked in low (can you do that with GM stuff?)
However she had nerve - I would have walked down that slope - no way I would have climbed up there in the first place!
