Gas tank question.

I ask this in my progress thread but didnt get an answer, so I figured I would post it by its self.

The small 1/4 hose, what is it for? My old tank didnt have one, this one I got does.

I think it goes to the vapor canister. I could be wrong though.

That line goes to your charcoal canister up front. Going from non vent to vented you might want to check your old filler neck to be sure your overflow tube is on the left side like this tank. On the rear tanks the overflow tube can switch from one side to the other of the big filler tube depending on if the tank was vented or not. Not sure, but it might be the same case on this front tank too?

Yes the old tank had the overflow neck on the other side and didnt have the smaller hose. So what do I need to do? Can it be pluged or do I need to take another route?

I believe it is necessary if you want to be able to fill your tank without a hassle.
