I have a 89 f250 351 W FI c6 4x4 I have a hard time getting it started I have to give it alot of throttle to keep it running, even if I back out of the driveway it dies and I have a hell of a time starting it. Once its warmed up its fine. I replaced the ACT sensor, ECT sensor and fuel filter could this be IAC or TPS thats causing this? Another question has anyone with this year truck or around the same with about 90,000 notice a difference when they cleaned their fuel injectors.
I was going to suggest you clean or replace the cap and rotor, but having run a fuel injector cleaner..........Pull your plugs.
The cleaners will build up on your plugs. So pull your plugs out, clean and re-gapp them.
The cleaners do work on the fuel system , but leave deposits on your plug contacts.
Look for vacuum leaks in your hoses and PCV system. Don't buy cheap PCV valves.
Starting fluid on your vacuum connectons of a COLD motor works good for finding small leaks. If a leak is present , the vacumm will suck the fluid in , and raise the idle .
