Collin maybe you can find a cheaper 2.5in tubular headache rack and get the light bar I haven't really looked yet. It says that the light bar will fit any 2.5in tube I was thinking of putting on our roll bar (before we got rid of the 86) but it ended up being a 3 in tube roll bar.

This is most definitely not the right place for your questions.. a little bit of research goes a long ways, but I am feeling somewhat generous today..

never messed with steering stabilizers on a 4x2 pickup.. if you have a manual trans with hydraulic clutch, you have a slave cylinder... If it ain't broke, don't fix it... Replacing a concentric slave cylinder means pulling the transmission out to get to it..

I asked here because it's something I'm planning on doing and this thread gets off topic. I asked about the slave cylinder because the kit said it won't work if you have a slave cylinder.
Now I have to figure out how to make it work.

If you don't know if your truck has a slave cylinder or not, I wouldn't recommend trying to replace one.. That is a fairly involved job, including removal of the transmission on these years of trucks... I don't know what kit you are looking at, but maybe you should try starting a new thread. We can go from there.

I'm not looking to replace it. I'm looking at putting in a stabilizer and it said the one I was looking at only works if you don't have a slave cylinder.

I thought that's what it was, I just wanted to make sure, I'm used to cable clutches.

I don't see what a slave cylinder would have to do with a steering stabilizer...

That's what I thought. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Shouldn't have anything to do with each other. I'd disregard it.

as for a rack that lets you mount lights, I would look at Back rack, very good quality and they do offer lighting accessories. there site is BACKRACK (I think)

its the original one that came with the truck when I bought it, its a Husky branded box.

Collin JC whitney has a stainless steel tubular one that you can get a light bar that hold 6 lights on. I want one of them on my truck. It is by go industries later I can get the link for it if you want.

I'll still looking into my options at the moment, but I will post it for sure when I get to it. But I'm thinking of using something like this. And mounting it just under the top piece of square tubing in the each corner.

cool, im thinking of mounting two brackets for work lights/utility lights so that way if I need to have either extra driving lights or extra work lights I have them, im thinking of using the LED utility lights instead of halogen types so i dont drain the battery as fast...

I like the idea of the LED's, like you said, they would drain the battery less then a halogen.

And they do make a few types of light brackets for these racks. BACKRACK

But the only problem I have with them is they either extend out on the sides. Which I don't really like the look of. Or they mount on top of the rack, and that won't work for me since I need have the top clear for ladders/lumber.
So any lights that I add to it have to be down low enough so I have enough clearance.

Only problem is it blew most of my fuses and resulted in rough running for a few minutes, but hey.
