well, i had a fun day. took my truck muddin through a farmers field... BUT despite what initial thoughts you might have, it was for a good reason. see, its been rainin here the past couple of days so its nice and wet, and it was sunday afternoon, so what better than to go cruisin in my buddys jeep? well, we (bein my buddy who owned the jeep, another friend and i) were on some back roads, and he hits this puddle. this puddle was deeper than he thought, and pulled him off a little ways... long story short, we went in the ditch sideways, and rolled his jeep... well i climbed out of the back seat and got on top where i could hold the door open for the two of them, and once all out we checked ourselves over for injuries, the worst of which was seatbelt burn on my friends neck. well we started walkin back and got ahold of a friend to come pick us up, who grabbed another guy who is an EMT. they got us when we were bout halfway back, the EMT checked us all over, and determined we were good. well, went back to the school, i grabbed my truck, the bud that was with us grabbed his chebby, and we headed out to go recover the jeep. broke, stuck and effed auto recovery at your service... so we went out drove through the freshly tilled and rained on field, to the jeep. the guy in chebby got stuck, so i went back and pulled him out, went back over to the jeep, i hooked my chain onto it and rolled it back on all four. checked the oil and it was still full, and my buddy started it and drove it back to the school. and my truck was nice and muddy. good day.

 

Pulled off my 16 year old factory tint and re did it myself in 5% Looks great and I saved $120 doing it myself.

Now no onez can seez me speakerz!

That dark tint looks cool. What brand did you get?

I've got 15 on my doors and 5 on the rear.

My Stang has 30 on it I think. I want to redo it in 5.

I don't think there is such a thing as factory tint, at least not in window film form only smoked glass.

well at least the ol steeple house had a good day. i basically just gave myself a better excuse to clean my truck before i deliver it to its new owner...

Is 5% legal in FL? Wish it was up here in the rustbelt, tho that didn't stop me from driving my old Chevy with nicely-dark and therefore highly-illegal door glass

 

i dont think 5% is legal any where... i know its not where i live... but i dont care either xD mines tinted to 5% been that way for almost 8 months uhm... gilla has a link on their website for the state laws on it...

 

Thanks. I wasnt planning on using cheap tint but I heard alot of good things about the $10 a roll black magic stuff from walmart. So I got 4 rolls of it and it looks great.

Hmmm. Cause my dads 2 F150s he bought brand new had light tint on them.

No 5% is not legal in Florida. But I live in a small town and know alot of people with 5% that have never had any problems.

 

xD i got my new registration today and stuck my sticker on the tag so im all legal once again

 

took the truck down to Walnut Cove, to the insurance office. It was a talk i didnt like. They wrote it off as totaled!!! Seems that I will have to call the local junk yard and buy it back. Then ill have to find a way to fix it and get it reregistered.

This has been a real bad week.
