Fuel is killing everyone..........not sure how much racing I'll do this year if it gets much worse. Got my drum of fuel for the year so that's not an issue, but getting car to the track at $4.20/gal diesel is gunno HURT! We'll keep try'n as long as possible.

hey guys im back, started a new job and time has been tight but here i am again some updates i have blew up my dana 60 rear end. i have another in line to buy and this week i am going to swap out my motor 460 for another 460, tranny c-6 for another c-6 and my 203 transfer case for a 205. going to be a busy week
Grrrrr. Replacing u-joints in my truck. Figured I would start with the front drive shaft. I managed to twist off a bolt in the pinion flange. Had to order a new flange and nut. That was a $80 mistake. When I was removing the old u-joints I managed to break the ears of a clip. GRRRRR. Spent two hours trying to get that out. Then I was pressing in the last new one and didn't notice one of the pins in the end cap came loose. I managed to snap it in half and tear the rubber boot all up. GRRR $25 for a new new u-joint. Oh well I guess I have spare parts now.
u'joints and carrier bearing can be a royal pain in the a$S .
Well this past week-end our club held its champ kart race ,
we had over a 150 karter entries for the qualifying race. I had my fastest time to date, a 45.98 with the top time being 44.94 which placed me in 12th for the pre-final out of 24 other racers, ,during the start into turn three two karts spunout in front of causing me to lose maybe 6 places, so I drove my but off and regained all but one position , I finished in eleventh place in feature .
the top eight places were held by the clubs top national & local karters who have many more years of experience then I do , I only have been really racing for a year and a half to date.
