Smile Big Problem?

My Carb (Holley) Leaks gas!
Could this cause my truck to catch on fire?

With any luck.

Seriously, yes. When you say leak, is it a trickle, is it spraying? Is it a fuel line or is the carb pouring gas out of the top?

yes, your truck has serious potential of bursting into flames,

being that its a slow trickle, and im guessing its coming out of the base plate, it might be a misadjusted float.

its a pretty easy fix and a common problem.

I think we already suggested it was the accelerator pump.

Yep it is possible. Might also make it worse with your wandering problem that you posted under "Stearing question". If you swerve off the highway into the ditch it could burst into flames. That wouldn't be good.

Basically any source of fuel has the potential to catch on fire. Is it safe? No. Do countless trucks have the same problem? Yes. Should you do something about it? Yes. Holley carbs are prone to leaking because the fuel bowl attaches sideways with a gasket; so there is a mating surface that has fuel pushing against it at all times, due to gravity. That is one source. The other source is the accelerator pump. To fix those, replace them. The other possibility would be throttle shaft bores or a crack in the throttle body casting.

The newer holley carb kits have "reusable gaskets", I don't recomend reusing them but they resist drying out and leaking much better than the old ones. Buy a holley trick kit and redo all the gaskets. If this doen't fix the problem and you have checked the throttle body shafts you might want to consider a new carb. Make sure you torque all the gaskets carefully in a cross patern to ensure that everything pulls flat (make sure gasket faces are kleen and there are no burrs.
