351M to 302
Hello, I have a 80 Ranger f-150 truck with a 351M in it. After looking around this fourm I have decided to build up a 302 and take the 351M out.... Will the 302 bolt in? What has to be done... Im not to sure what tranny I have but the motor is a 351M and the diff is a 9"

Hi, I would go with a 351w for the extra torque. You will need to change the transmission; the bellhousing is different. I once changed a 400 to a 302. I wished I had put in a 351 instead.
