changing 06 up pipe

changing 06 up pipe

Anyone tried this chaning the restritive up pipe 05-07 with the scoop to a 03-04 none scooped up pipe, not putting in the egr block platein, any difference ???? Was thinkin my 04 seem to have alot more *** than my 06 might be big part of it ????? scoop vs. none scoop

I've seen a pic of someone who just cut out the scoop (much cheaper). You can fit a sawsall blade in there far enough to just cut out the 05-07 scoop. I'm sure it would help because the scoop takes up about 1/2 of the up-pipe flow.

if you're gonna go through all the hassle of putting in the older up-pipe you might as well block off the cooler while you're in there, right?

pics of what? up-pipes? You can see some on elite's website or just search google and you'd probably get a bunch of pics.

Small hands and skinny arms help quite a bit. I did it in the driveway with hand tools, especially extensions for the rachets. Removing the passenger wheel, and down pipe will help a bunch; some have removed the passenger wheel well liner as well
