motorcraft specs

Would anyone know what the float height setting for the motocraft 2100's are? (I only have a haynes manual). Mine is on a '69 390 that is a rebuild replacement for an original autolite. It has a manual choke and uses no lines to a vapor canister. Did a rebuild after an incurable rich condition turned out to be a cracked brass tube connected to the booster assembly which I'm assuming are the metering rods.

Also do Holley power vavles work on these carbs? Just out out of curiosity I screwed a Holley power valve in to see if it would fit and it did.

I believe it is 1/2 inch from the top of carb. I'm not too sure though.

Most carbs work just fine if you set the float level with the float parallel when comparing the top flat surfuce of the float to the top of the carb float bowl. The 2100 carb is a rip off of the Holley 2300 with parts relocated to stay out of legal trouble. So yes, the power valves are interchangable.
