Well summer is approaching and I put on the cab over camper again on my 04 F250 PSD. My tires are about shot and want some new ones if I don't get a different truck. I noticed even though my revos are E rated, they don't seem to have the strongest sidewalls in the world. Any advice on some good heavy load tires. I see nitto has a new one that I might consider, I think it is the dura grappler I believe. Any input?
Nokian Vatiiva A/T, I'm running them and they seem good, never had any major sidewall bulge when towing with them, also my dad runs them and he has a 3000+# camper in his box with minimal sidewall bulge happening. so far the tires seem to be lasting my longer then the Michelins I had on before
I'm not too worried about off road terrain. I check either tire rack or discount tire review and there were alot of complaint about the sidewalls on the bfg at tire.

Which Michelins did you run before and how long did they last? I'm considering a set of LTX MS's 265/75-16.
I have LTX ATs on my '94 Exploder and they have about 50k miles on them with a lot of tread left. Could be a different story running them on a SD though. Of course, I run empty 90% of the time...
I am running a set of 305/70 x 16 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my Excursion which have a load rating of E. I bought the first set used with the wheels, and they held up very well. I bought the new ones and was very impressed with both the strength of the sidewall, the depth of the tread, and the price was awesome. I had somewhere in the neighborhood of 50k miles on the last set and they didn't even have close to the tread the new ones had. I do however run 315/75 x 16 BFG's TA KO on my truck for the proven tread design, but am considering going with the Nitto's for it as well.
well there is a big difference between have tires on a heavy vehicle....but then when you throw a 3k plus camper on top of that and tow 12k, you need something stupid strong. I tried to find one that has the highest load rating.
I started with the BFG MT's on my Bronco many years ago and have gone with the BFG A/T's ever since on a few different trucks. I wouldn't buy another agressive tread tire. I have never had a flat and have driven over many different obstacles and terrain in the many years i have owned them. They have a patented sidewall thats tough to beat.
Cooper Discoverer ATR. Just put a set on my truck last week and I love them. E rated tire with a 50,000 mile warranty. Good deep tread - quiet on the road and highway and not overly aggressive - just enough for what I need for hunting each year. Also highly rated for snow and ice which makes sense up here in Canada.

I think I had the LTX A/S or something, they rode very nice just wore out fast with the heavy truck and foot! I put only about 40k km's on them so not very long at all.
I have BFG t/a's on my 99 psd crew cab dually. I have right at 46,000 on them at the moment and still have 10/32 left on the rears and the fronts still have around 7-8/32. I have had great luck with these tires only one flat in the whole time I have had them. It was just a nail that I picked up somewhere. Any how next time around Im going to go back to my Toyo a/t's they are the same price and get better milage out of them. I have a friend that has them on his Hot shot truck that he hauls a gooseneck with 18000 lbs cargo and he is getting around 85 k out of them I believe.
